Dexerdry

Dexerdry is a thermoplastic insert placed between grooved deck boards to weatherproof the deck surface and keep the space underneath dry and sheltered.  Dexerdry requires use of sealant, board tightening tool, and other items (see instructions/videos).

Decking grooves ARE DIFFERENT SIZES, so BE SURE to select the profile of Dexerdry that matches the decking you are using.

The Blue Claw tool was designed specifically to install Dexerdry, and is the most effective compression tool for this. It's used to compress and seal the Dexerdry strip by squeezing the unfastened deck board into the already installed boards. (See videos below).

Groove Router Bits

Router bits used to cut a Dexerdry groove into a frieze board (at the house) or a square-edged border board. For best fit, use an already-grooved piece of the decking you're installing to help set your router.
