Fasteners for Mounting Connectors

Joist hangers, post bases, stringer connectors, and other stamped metal connectors should be fastened with specific nails or screws. Heavy-duty galvanized nails or SD screws may be options for the connector you're using, be sure to check the installer's guide for information on the proper fastener.
