Fascia-Mount Posts

Fascia mount posts are typically preferred over surface-mount posts to replace wood posts that were outside mounted, or to keep the surface fastener-free and post free.

Narrow stairs that are being refurbished, rooftop decks with a waterproofed deck surface, or small decks that need to maximize every square inch are the most common applications for fascia-mount posts.

If the structure you are mounting the bracket to is concrete, or you wish to use your own screws, brackets are available without the hardware or plug.

2" posts and 2" fascia-mount brackets are used in applications where the Ultralox top rail runs over the top of the posts, which is common on long sections of stair railing.

Fascia posts vary by height, and are sold separately from brackets. 46" posts have 8" of extra length that will slip inside the fascia bracket, and the remaining height will rise above the deck level to secure the panel to. Brackets should be selected separately so that you can choose the bracket style based on its mounting location.

These 2" posts can be mounted in the middle of a straight railing run, and have extra length with no baseplate. They can be mounted to the framing or stringer with lag screws or a fascia-mount bracket.
