Product History and Discontinuations
Products go through redesigns and revisions to perform better or get an updated appearance, and color styles often change due to home style trends changing. Sometimes products also become unavailable in certain areas, due to material suppliers choosing to not carry them.
Discontinued decking colors
Timbertech Tropical Collection: Amazon Mist, Antigua Gold, Antique Palm, and Caribbean Redwood
The Timbertech Tropical collection was a subtly variegated, brightly colored collection, and has been a part of Timbertech's lineup as a mid-range board since before Azek acquired Timbertech in 2014. The Tropical collection was discontinued in 2019, and replaced shortly after by the Reserve collection. Reserve colors were a more more variegated upgrade, with more natural, muted tones than the Tropical collection.
Timbertech Terrain collection: Sandy Birch, Rustic Elm, and Stone Ash
These three basic solid colors were released around 2010, and has been a part of Timbertech's budget Terrain collection, until its discontinuation in 2024.
Timbertech offered the reddish-brown Sapele color in the Legacy collection for a short time in 2019, but was presumably removed due to so many brown colors already available in the Legacy collection.
Timbertech Reserve Storm Gray: Storm Gray was one of the original four colors released in the Reserve collection, but was discontinued within a year. Storm Gray was a colder, more blue-gray color than Driftwood, which is a medium gray with tan hues.
Timbertech Edge Premier collection: Tidal Sand and Beachwood Gray were a part of the original release of the Premier collection, but were discontinued a few years later. At the time, Sandy Birch and Stone Ash were similar substitutes, but those colors have also been recently discontinued.
Discontinued Azek PVC decking colors:
Tahoe (Terra collection) discontinued in 2015
Sedona (Terra collection) discontinued in 2015
Fawn
Azek Vintage Cypress is a color that is currently available in most regions, but was temporarily discontinued multiple times between 2019 and 2023. This was mostly due to manufacturing priorities/limitations in the home-renovation boom during COVID.
Discontinued Azek PVC Porch colors:
Oyster: light gray, off-white with a texture similar to the Harvest collection boards
Morado: orange-brown coloring the same as the Azek Arbor Morado decking
Azek Arbor collection: Acacia, Autumn Chestnut, Brazilian Walnut, Hazelwood, Island Oak, Morado, Mountain Redwood, and Silver Oak. Autumn chestnut and Island oak were previously a part of the Harvest collection as the two Harvest Plus colors, and were transferred to the arbor collection, while keeping their original colors and texture. The entire Arbor collection was discontinued in 2018, to make way for the Landmark collection, which was released a few years later.
Trex Transcend colors that have been discontinued include: Fire Pit, Vintage Lantern, Tree House, Gravel Path.
Discontinued Trex Select colors include Woodland Brown, Winchester Gray, and Madeira.
