Budget-Friendly Composite Decking

Capped wood-plastic composite decking is generally a more affordable decking option than premium PVC or Surestone material, and Deckorators provides some rather realistic looking choices in their WPC lineup.

  • The Venture collection features gray and medium brown colored boards with a more realistic grain texture than most boards at this price level, at a price close to wood decking.
  • Vista decking and fascia is a step up from Venture, with a full-profile 7/8" board that makes for an easier installation in applications like cocktail rail and stair treads.

Premium Decking and Fascia

  • In areas where decks face dramatic temperature swings (like Minnesota), board and end gap expansion can be problematic. Deckorators has nearly eliminated that with their mineral-based Surestone composition, which is a non-organic, thermally stable formula. It installs as easily as PVC decking, but flexes and stays stable, despite it being a 7/8" thick board.
  • The Voyage collection has a complete lineup of decking, riser, fascia, and additional wide and narrow boards, for both practical and aesthetic applications.
  • The Summit line from Deckorators is formulated with more fillers that make boards less thermally and physically stable, but more affordable. It's offered at a price point between Vista and Voyage, for builders that want a non-organic composition but are willing to compromise on price and stability for a lower price point.

Decking and Fascia Fasteners

  • Camo clips or screws with plugs are the preferred hidden fasteners for grooved and square-edged deck boards, available for every Deckorators collection.
  • Deckfast wide-head fascia fasteners are available for WPC fascia and risers, with color matches specific to each decking color.
  • Shorter color-matched screws with a smaller head can be used for Surestone decking, which are less noticeable than WPC fascia screws.

Railing and Privacy Panels

  • ALX baluster railing is a modern, panelized system that can be installed easily, but can be coordinated with other types of railing like cable.
  • ALX Horizontal cable railing installs easily, with posts pre-drilled for most applications, and cables that are pre-kitted with threaded ends and one-way jaws, cut to various lengths.
  • Privacy sections can be installed in addition to railings, if you're looking for a more stylish, cozy space than baluster rail can offer.
